Professional Stud Extractor Set for Removing Broken & Seized Bolts
The Britool Hallmark 9Pc Stud Extractor / Twist Socket Set is designed for the efficient removal of broken studs, snapped bolts and damaged threaded fasteners.
Each extractor features a left-hand tapered spiral design that progressively grips the fastener as anticlockwise torque is applied. Used with an appropriately prepared or pre-drilled broken stud or bolt, the spiral profile bites into the fastener to provide the grip required for extraction.
Covering sizes from 2mm to 14mm, the set includes both 3/8" and 1/2" drive extractors, with external hex drives providing an additional method of turning the extractor where appropriate.
Supplied in a precision-cut EVA tool control foam tray, the complete set can be neatly organised inside a toolbox, top box or roll cab drawer.

Left-Hand Spiral Design for Secure Extraction
The extractors feature a specially designed left-hand tapered spiral that bites progressively into the prepared broken fastener.
As anticlockwise torque is applied, the spiral profile grips more firmly, helping transmit the turning force required to release the damaged stud or bolt.
This makes the set particularly useful where the original bolt head has broken away and conventional sockets or spanners can no longer be used.

How Does a Stud Extractor Twist Socket Work?
The damaged stud or bolt is first prepared as required for the appropriate extractor size. The extractor is then positioned onto or into the prepared fastener.
When anticlockwise torque is applied, the left-hand tapered spiral bites progressively into the fastener, increasing its grip as additional turning force is applied.
Once sufficient grip has been achieved, continued anticlockwise rotation can help release and remove the broken fastener.
For badly seized fasteners, penetrating fluid and appropriate preparation may assist removal.
